Last month has been filled with excitement and inspiration as our Wuhan and Ningbo campuses hosted two outstanding events. The Wuhan Science Fair and Ningbo Charity Bazaar brought students’ creativity, collaboration, and community spirit to the forefront, demonstrating what meaningful education looks like in action.
Our Wuhan campus recently hosted an inspiring Science Fair featuring three major exhibition areas: Biology, Integrated Science, and Chemistry. Students worked collaboratively in teams of 5-6 members, engaging in comprehensive project research and presenting their findings with remarkable professionalism.
What made this event truly special was witnessing students take complete ownership of their learning journey. They independently designed and built physical models, crafted informative posters, and prepared engaging PowerPoint presentations. Each team member contributed their unique strengths—some excelled at research, others at design, while many demonstrated exceptional presentation skills. Through effective division of labor and teamwork, students not only completed their tasks but exceeded expectations, showcasing critical thinking and scientific communication abilities.
Our Ningbo campus organized a meaningful Charity Bazaar that beautifully integrated academic learning with social responsibility. The event featured a Globalisation curriculum showcase displaying culturally representative items crafted by students, celebrating the diversity of countries worldwide.
The charity sale component empowered students to organize their own vendor booths, selling a diverse range of items. Working in dedicated teams, students gained hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and customer service. Most importantly, all proceeds will be donated to charitable causes, teaching students that success is measured not only by achievement but also by community contribution.
These events exemplify our commitment to holistic education that extends beyond traditional classroom boundaries. By providing platforms for students to explore interests, develop practical skills, and engage with their communities, we prepare them to become confident, capable, and compassionate global citizens. Authentic learning happens when students are given agency, encouraged to collaborate, and inspired to make a positive impact.
