Originally from Wichita Falls, Texas, over the past 20 years, I have lived in various states throughout the U.S.A (Alabama, Florida, California, Georgia) and have taught various subjects and grade levels. My teaching experience reached beyond the States when I was offered a position at the Zhanhua Experimental School in Shenzhen, China for the 2015 school year. I found it to be an extremely illuminating venture! Capitalizing on the opportunity, I accepted another position in Shunde, China where I continued teaching English to elementary school students.
It is now 2019 and I am still in China! And still with the same company that started me on this journey three years ago. I have continued to take advantage of the opportunities that KL has extended to me each year and as a result, I have learned and gained valuable personal and professional experience. Each year is an adventure and I look forward to every moment. I am now the Academic Dean of The Affiliated Primary School of Guangdong Experimental School Shunde. I can’t wait to see what next year’s quest will be!
